Bernedoodles

The Bernedoodle is a cross breed combining the loyal, affectionate nature of the Bernese Mountain Dog with the intelligence and low-shedding coat of the Poodle.

These guys were first developed in America in the early 2000s, and have quickly become a sought-after breed for families, therapy work, and active families.

At Bernedoodles and Groodles Australia, we specialise in TRUE F1 Standard Bernedoodles who carry 50% Bernese Mountain Dog DNA. 

Our breeding dogs have been imported from overseas and are carefully bred for health, temperament, and beautiful markings.

Temperament

Bernedoodles are affectionate, loyal, and people-oriented. They thrive on companionship and are known for their playful yet relaxed nature, making them an ideal family dog.

Coat & Colours

We breed Bernedoodles in classic tri-color and merle-tri patterns, with soft, wavy, or curly coats that are typically low to non-shedding. 

Exercise Needs

While Bernedoodles enjoy outdoor adventures, they don’t require excessive exercise. A daily walk or play session is enough to keep them happy and healthy.

These dogs are highly intelligent and eager to please, making them easy to train. They also do great as therapy and companion dogs due to their calm nature.
